We are a global business with offices and operational centres in more than 40 countries worldwide.

Our headquarters is located at 99 City Road, London. We employ about 1,800 staff globally and have a presence in ports and centres of commerce on every continent, including regional offices, sales offices, installation and maintenance centres, and satellite ground stations.

The locations below give an indication of our global presence and highlight some of our largest offices.

Australia

The Inmarsat Sydney office is located West of Sydney in Auburn. This site is a secure sales, engineering and warehouse facility with fully functioning lab and training amenities and hot desks available for travelling staff. The office has employees from our Global Government and Enterprise business units, as well as the Chief Finance Office. Their scope includes management, sales, engineering, operations, sales support, marketing, finance and general administration. The site has been fully renovated and offers a good size, modern, open plan office with natural daylight. There are plenty of meeting rooms and social areas.

In our Landsdale office, situated at Inmarsat’s Land Earth Station in Perth, most employees are from the Chief Operations Office supporting our network operations. We also have a small number of employees in the Morayfield, Queensland office, supporting the Chief Finance Office.

Canada

We have two offices in Canada – in Ottawa and St John’s, the latter being the largest and home to approximately 200 employees. St. John’s, a city off Canada’s Atlantic coast, is the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador province. Above the city is Signal Hill, the site of the first transatlantic wireless communication.

The Newfoundland office has been recognised as one of Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers since 2018.

London

Our London Office is the home of our headquarters and approximately half of our employees. The City Road building is situated next to Old Street tube and rail stations, and is located on silicon roundabout in the capital’s ‘Tech City’.

The office has recently been completely renovated, resulting in a vibrant, open space environment with lots of communal breakout spaces and hubs to enable collaborative working on every floor of the building. We have an onsite restaurant and coffee shop providing breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks throughout the day at subsidised prices. We also provide bike racks, lockers and shower facilities for those that wish to cycle to work. There is an onsite gym and activity room that is free for staff to use and open 24/7 with a number of classes such as yoga and Pilates, offered throughout the week. On a Friday we open the “Slug and Satellite”, our company bar run by our London Social committee and a great place to socialise at the end of the week.

Middle East

We have an office in Dubai that covers the MEASA region with a small number of staff working within the Aviation, Regulatory, Maritime, Enterprise business units and Chief Operations Office. The office is located in one of the top skyscrapers in Dubai.

Norway

Our office in Norway is located in Ålesund, where we have approximately 100 employees. The office is in the Norwegian Maritime Competence Centre which is a part of Campus Ålesund, an education, research and business development learning and innovation arena.

Singapore

Singapore is the central hub of Asia Pacific with the busiest port for trade. Our office is located in the centre northern part of the city and also compromises a production site and warehouses.

The office has recently seen a number of improvements resulting in a brighter and much more comfortable environment to work in with energy saving lighting, safety walkways in the warehouses and a nursing room for our new mothers. Lockers and shower facilities are provided for those who wish to cycle to work or use after having a game of badminton.

South Africa

In South Africa we have an office in Durbanville, in the northern outskirts of Cape Town in the Western Cape. We have a small number of employees at this office, which is surrounded by wine farms.

Switzerland

Our Swiss office is based near Nyon, not far from Geneva and the International Telecommunications Union head office. This office has representatives from a number of business units including a large number from Aviation. There are just over 60 employees whose skill set extends to a wide variety of areas including engineering, accounting, marketing, telecommunications regulation, client management, sales, data science, business development, general administration and team support.

The Netherlands

We have are three offices within the Netherlands – in The Hague, Rotterdam and Burum. Our largest office is located in The Hague. Burum, a remote village in Noardeast-Fryslân municipality, is home to a smaller number of employees and is where one of our ground stations is located.

USA

Our presence in the United States spans across Washington D.C., Seattle WA, Paumalu HI, Fort Lauderdale FL, Chantilly VA and Houston TX. Approximately 130 employees occupy roles in areas such as Operations, Sales, Aviation, Engineering and Technical Services. Our Hawaii office is home to one of our Satellite Access Stations, which act as a traffic gateway, directing the satellite signal to terrestrial networks such as the internet or the terrestrial telephone network (PSTN) and back again.
