Making work work

We believe in making work work – respecting that we all have lives outside working hours. We support and enable our people to balance the demands of both, while still getting the job done. We trust our employees and actively support agile working as well as more formal flexible working arrangements.

Our office spaces are vibrant and inclusive, where collaboration is simply part of our everyday way of working.

Since mid March our global workforce has predominately been working from home and our systems, processes and culture has made this an almost seamless transition and we continue to operate in productive teams albeit remotely. As we begin to return and establish a new way of working we have sought the views of our employees to ensure that we continue to make work work for all.

OUR LOCATIONS

Our headquarters is located at 99 City Road, London. We employ about 1,800 staff globally and have a presence in ports and centres of commerce on every continent, including regional offices, sales offices, installation and maintenance centres, and satellite ground stations.

OUR BUSINESS UNITS

Inmarsat was set up in 1979 by the International Maritime Organization to provide reliable satellite safety communications. Today, as the world leader in global, mobile satellite communications, we not only remain proud of our maritime and aviation safety heritage, we also offer a whole host of connectivity solutions for our customers – connecting people, communities, businesses and things on land, at sea and in the air.

EDUCATIONAL ENGAGEMENT

We are keen to build long-lasting relationships with schools, colleges, uniformed groups and universities to offer opportunities for young people to learn more about STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and inspire them to consider careers in the sector.
