As Inmarsat celebrates 40 years of innovation this year, we shine a spotlight on some of the incredible partners that have been on the journey with us. First off we hear from Jeof McAllister, Vice President at Boeing Commercial Satellite Services.

At the SATELLITE 2019 Conference in Washington, D.C., we sat down with Jeof McAllister, Vice President at Boeing Commercial Satellite Services, a unit of The Boeing Company that offers end-to-end commercial satellite communications solutions to the U.S. government and other satellite users, to discuss its successful partnership with Inmarsat in the U.S. government market and other industry issues. Through the world’s most extensive portfolio of global narrowband and wideband, and via our ecosystem of best-of-breed wholesale channel partners such as Boeing, we deliver robust, flexible and scalable alternatives for U.S. government customers to augment their satellite communications in both L-band and Ka-band, whenever needed.

During this video podcast, Mr. McAllister discusses how Boeing and Inmarsat successfully partner to meet end user demands for mobile, high-throughput capabilities to meet their problem set, mission and challenges. Mr. McAllister explains that Boeing, as the manufacturer of the Global Xpress Inmarsat-5 GX1-GX4 satellites, has a unique perspective that enables them to collaborate with Inmarsat to increase the capability and value within the constellation – creating innovative new services to deliver to the end user. Through this partnership, Mr. McAllister points out the importance of designing systems that are global and mobile with high data rates, and that the two companies are dedicated to building best best-value solutions ahead of the need.

Inmarsat services are made available globally to the U.S. government thanks to our channel partners.  By combining the expertise of our industry partners, who have been at the forefront of satellite communications-related technology and innovation for four decades, as well as input from our U.S. government customers, we continue to develop next-generation commercial capabilities built for users in all domains.
