Humanitarian credentials

The company has extensive aid and humanitarian credentials, with an office in Geneva servicing the United Nations.

“GX is truly a game-changing service. We’re delighted that a company such as IEC Telecom, with its strong heritage as an Inmarsat service provider for our L-band services, has invested significantly in building their VSAT capabilities,” said Ronald Spithout, President of Inmarsat Enterprise.

“They have demonstrated that they have the technical and commercial skill-set, as well as the essential infrastructure, to play an important role in driving demand for GX services.

Technical expertise

“They are a very welcome addition to our growing family of VARs that will support the launch and adoption of our globally available, high-speed broadband service.”

He added: “In addition to having unique reach into critical regions of the world, IEC Telecom is a solutions-oriented company, possessing a wide array of technical expertise, in areas such as tracking and machine-to-machine (M2M), video and audio broadcast, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and WAN optimisation, which makes them a perfect partner for GX.”

Erwan Emilian, IEC Telecom Group’s CEO, said: “The addition of GX to the IEC Telecom Group portfolio enhances and strengthens our overall satellite offering in the VSAT marketplace.

Network reliability

“With GX, we’re able to continue meeting our goal of providing our customers with global Ka-band broadband connectivity, backed by unmatched network reliability.”
