Inmarsat Aviation is joining industry professionals from airlines and airports around the world, and innovative technology providers at the World Aviation Festival again this year. The event is an important technology conference and exhibition for the aviation industry, bringing decision-makers together to explore the latest technology designed to drive the industry forward.
We will be taking part in an exploratory panel discussion with our partner Deutsche Telekom, which will focus on the growth in demand for connectivity as demonstrated by our European Aviation Network and the opportunities now open to airlines.
On 6 October at 13:15 in Hall 12 - Track 6, a panel of experts, including Inmarsat Aviation’s Sales Director for Europe, Lucinda Pike, Deutsche Telekom’s Experience Designer for Inflight Connectivity & Services, Joshua Schmidt, and Aegean Airline’s Group Product Marketing Manager, Christina Kanaki, will gather for a panel discussion on the commercial potential of IFC. The session, How can a digital-retail mindset help airlines to unlock the true commercial potential of inflight connectivity? will also be moderated by well-known aviation journalist and analyst, Seth Miller.
The panel will explore the growing desire that passengers have to stay connected in the air, post-pandemic, as demonstrated by the record numbers of passengers using Inmarsat and Deutsche Telekom’s European Aviation Network (EAN) inflight broadband last year.
The session will also delve into details around how passenger behaviours, expectations and priorities have evolved and continue to do so, outlining how connectivity can unlock a range of new opportunities for airlines to meet those new needs.
Our team of experts will also look at how connectivity can help to create the more personalised digital onboard experience that passengers want, and the variety of new revenue streams that onboard Wi-Fi offers, from digital commerce to advertising and sales generation.
On top of that, the panel will discuss some of the results of Inmarsat’s latest airline passenger survey – the largest of its type in the world, completed by more than 10,000 respondents. The survey reinforces how passenger needs are evolving and highlights specific passengers needs in the European region.
We hope you can join us.
