World ATM Congress

null

Madrid, Spain

Inmarsat is once again exhibiting at the World ATM Congress in Madrid. The three-day event, created by the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) and the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA), is the world’s largest international air traffic management (ATM) exhibition and conference.

Attracting attendees from 110 countries and territories, it brings together leading product developers, experts, stakeholders and air navigation service providers (ANSPs), and provides the perfect opportunity for us to meet with our customers and partners in person again.

Our team will be at stand 863 ready to provide the latest news and developments on our work in the dynamic world of ATM (we’re also running two Lunch and Learn sessions – details below). For starters, there’s our award-winning SwiftBroadband-Safety (SB-S) connectivity platform, which forms the backbone of our ground-breaking Iris air traffic modernisation programme with the European Space Agency (ESA).

We look forward to providing more details about Iris’ powerful benefits for airlines and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) across Europe, such as minimising flight delays, saving fuel and reducing the environment impact of air travel. Iris will enter full commercial and operational service in Europe next year, supporting the Single European Sky’s ATM Research (SESAR) masterplan. We also recently signed a contract to globalise the solution, so that its vast benefits can be applied to regions beyond Europe.

The Inmarsat team will also be showcasing our Velaris solution, which is enabling uncrewed aircraft to go beyond visual line of sight, offering new possibilities that will completely transform the world in which we live. Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have the potential to deliver impressive societal, humanitarian, environmental and commercial benefits. Visit our stand to see the ultra-small terminals and to meet with our team of experts from commercial air transport, cybersecurity, and unified traffic management who can explain more.

Lunch and Learn sessions

Please do come along to our Lunch and Learn sessions, for quick yet detailed updates. We will be running sessions on the Inmarsat booth 863, about three key topics on both Tuesday 21 and Wednesday 22 June:

  • Iris – a clearer path through crowded skies

Session one on both days will see Inmarsat's Sylvie Sureda-Perez will provide an update on Iris and the powerful benefits it will deliver to airlines and Air Navigation Service Providers through high bandwidth, cost-effective satellite-based datalink communications across Europe.

When: 21 June & 22 June: 12:00PM - 12:15PM

  • Hello Uncrewed Aviation

Session two will be run by Inmarsat's Mark ter Hove and he will explore how uncrewed aerial vehicles are poised to completely transform the world in which we live and deliver many humanitarian, environmental, and commercial benefits. He’ll take a journey into the future, asking how do we solve the airspace conundrum?

When: 21 June & 22 June: 12:25PM - 12:40PM

  • SWIM with Inmarsat

During session three, Inmarsat's Valerie Chu will describe how we are connecting SWIM based applications to the FAA and Eurocontrol networks, and explain how powerful connected applications can transform your operations.

When: 21 June & 22 June: 12:50PM - 13:05PM
