Shanghai, China

Inmarsat will be speaking at the 9th Inflight Connectivity Technology Conference in Shanghai, China which takes the theme ‘Innovative connectivity; connecting future’.

With the global pandemic greatly affecting the air transport industry, the two day event will focus on how to respond and improve upon the transition period of China's civil aviation development phase, and discuss future trends in the growing aviation inflight connectivity market – from technology and security to business and data applications and services.

Li Jun, Director of Technology, Inmarsat China, will present ‘’Connecting passengers with world-class inflight internet’ on 13 May. He will provide an overview of our Passenger Confidence Tracker survey, conducted in 2020 in the aftermath of a difficult peak travel season, which reflects the views and attitudes of flyers from across the globe and the increasing demand for inflight connectivity.

In addition, Li Jun will update delegates on our fully funded technology roadmap that will see Inmarsat launch seven more Global Xpress satellites to provide additional capabilities and capacity for our award-winning GX Aviation inflight service.
