Inmarsat is proud to be exhibiting at CANSO Airspace World 2023. The Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) event is a global exhibition focused on the future of the international Air Traffic Management (ATM) sector.
Airspace World marks a new era for CANSO and will see organisations from across the ATM, space and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) industries come together to Shape our Future Skies and to showcase the technology and services required to get there.
You’ll find our team at stand #J25, ready and waiting to share the latest updates on our work in the fast-progressing world of ATM. Come along to discover more about the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Iris datalink, powered by Inmarsat SB-S, and see the Iris satcom terminals on display.
Iris offers powerful benefits for airlines and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) across Europe and beyond, such as minimising flight delays, saving fuel and reducing the environment impact of air travel. Iris is set to enter full commercial and operational service in Europe later in the year and is supporting the Single European Sky’s ATM Research (SESAR) masterplan.
This year we will be showcasing connected Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) applications from our Iris partners including Smart4Aviation, SITA, Lufthansa Systems (Lido), and Pace.
We’ll also be displaying the Inmarsat Velaris terminal, which has been designed to enable uncrewed aircraft to go Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) and remain in visibility of ATM operators, unlocking new and exciting use cases for these marvels of engineering.
