24 March 2014: IsatPhone 2, Inmarsat’s newest addition to its satellite phone portfolio, has arrived.
Ready, reliable and robust – Inmarsat’s most advanced handheld satellite phone offers dependable, high-quality voice calls, text and email messaging outside of cellular and fixed network coverage.
IsatPhone 2 has a rugged handset design, an industry-leading eight hours of talk time and 160 hours on standby. It joins IsatPhone Pro to offer customers a choice of phone depending on their requirements and budget.

The new phone operates over the ultra-reliable, globally available Inmarsat-4 constellation, enabling users to stay connected wherever they are in the world.

The robust IsatPhone 2 operates in temperatures ranging from -20° to +55° C, has a humidity tolerance up to 95 per cent, and is dust, splash and shock resistant.
With a toughened Gorilla glass display, the phone has been engineered to provide a combination of thinness, lightness and damage-resistance, and the keypad can be used with gloves on.
