The awards recognise individuals and organisations that have made a significant contribution in any aspect of smart maritime activity and we are delighted that Fleet Data has been shortlisted in the Technology category for its milestone technological achievement.
Developed in partnership with Danelec Marine, Fleet Data is the only service to offer a highly reliable, dedicated bandwidth service on a sensor agnostic platform to enable ship owners to realise the full potential of IoT applications in real-time.
It works by recording data from the onboard Voyage Data Recorder and other vessel sensors, then pre-processing it before uploading the data to a central cloud-based database. From here, ship owners and managers can go on to quickly identify issues and failures, as well as monitor vessel performance and fuel efficiency.
The Smart4Sea Awards are all decided through online public voting and you can vote for Fleet Data to win up until by 21 December 2018. The Awards ceremony will take place on 29 January 2019 in Athens on the eve of the Smart4Sea Conference.
