Cabinet Office minister visits Inmarsat at Gitex

Cabinet Office minister and Paymaster General the Rt Hon Francis Maude visited the Inmarsat stand at Gitex Technology Week in Dubai.

The British MP took the opportunity to learn about the company’s history and services and was keen to understand more about Inmarsat’s business model and partners.

“We were honoured that Francis Maude chose to spend so much time on the Inmarsat stand. He was particularly interested in the vital role we play within the mobile satellite communications industry,” said Drew Brandy, Inmarsat’s Vice President, Industry.

Significant role

“We introduced him to some of our services, including next-generation Global Xpress, and explained the significant role Inmarsat plays as a UK business investing in growth and the economy.”

Gitex is the annual conference and exhibition for the ICT industry and is taking place in Dubai until 24 October.
