Inmarsat is proud to be taking part in Smart Maritime Network (SMN) Tokyo once again. SMN’s goals of informing and educating the industry on technological developments and innovations, whilst promoting the benefits of enhanced integration and data sharing among stakeholders within the industry, are very much aligned with ours.
At the one-day event, Inmarsat’s Head of Maritime Digital, Marco Christoforo Camporeale will be speaking on The Impact of Digital Technology on Maritime Sustainability at 10.20, when he will provide an overview of our latest report within Inmarsat’s Maritime research programme, “The Optimal Route – The Why and How of Digital Decarbonistaion in Shipping”.
He will outline the report’s evidence that supports digital optimisation as a key strategy for meeting IMO CO2 targets for 2050; identify three key digital steps to achieve decarbonisation objectives; detail the industry’s “pathway to 2050”, along with policy-based initiatives that will play the most significant role in guiding the industry towards decarbonisation. And finally, he will talk through how performance platforms can be used to offer reductions in GHG emissions.
We hope you can join us.
