The LEO Digital Forum will bring together experts from around the satellite industry to take part in discussion panels and roundtables focusing on everything from the future landscape and what role will LEO and GEO satellites have, to new emerging business models and the LEO Ecosystem.
Influencers within the sector will have the opportunity to frankly discuss how they see the industry developing, with key industry businesses presenting their stories and answering questions.
Inmarsat’s Peter Hadinger will join a panel discussion entitled ‘Vertically Integrated Business Models: How Will This Change the Industry?’ at 13.45 – 14.30 Eastern Time US on 6 April.
The session will explore how businesses like SpaceX and Amazon are changing the industry, looking at new business models that are emerging and how companies are mixing manufacturing, launch and operator businesses into one model. The panel will explore what these changes will mean to both the LEO and overall satellite industries in the future.
Hadinger will explain the story behind Inmarsat’s Inter-Satellite Data Relay System (IDRS), which provides satellite operators with access to on-demand, 24/7, near real-time, two-way IP-based links to all of their assets. This will allow them to respond to customer requirements and to operational anomalies without it needing to be within line-of-sight of an Earth station. He will also outline how IDRS is becoming a critical part of the developing LEO ecosystem.
