Inmarsat is sponsoring the 2021 EUROCAE Symposium, run by EUROCAE, the European leader in the development of worldwide recognised industry standards for aviation.
The symposium provides an opportunity for aviation professionals to delve into some of the most topical developments shaping the industry and examines how new standards and goals can be achieved through the power of collaboration.
A range of topics will be covered, from environmental sustainability and driving digitalisation to the industry’s resilience in the face of the global COVID-19 crisis. Naturally, there will be some focus on how aviation is recovering, shining a spotlight on global standards and outlining lessons learned from other industry sectors.
Inmarsat’s Sylvie Sureda-Perez will join the experts in Panel 2 on the first day of the conference, between 13:00 – 15:45 CET on 28 April. Entitled “Automation Artificial Intelligence”, the panel discussion will focus on the major role that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing in the transformation of the aerospace industry.
The session will include details of how Inmarsat is investigating AI’s potential in the implementation of future applications, so that these technological developments can answer the industry’s need for innovation, combined with regulatory framework requirements and standardisation needs.
Sylvie will also be speaking about the ground-breaking Iris programme that Inmarsat is developing in partnership with the European Space Agency, addressing how air traffic management services can enable digitalisation and automation.
