A Global Xpress (GX) roadshow is introducing Inmarsat’s latest satellite service to potential customers in South America, which operate in enterprise sectors most likely to benefit from globally available, high-speed broadband from a single operator.
At events this month in Bogota, Colombia and Santiago, Chile, representatives from companies across agriculture, alternative energy, government, media, mining, oil and gas, and utilities sectors were given live demonstrations of Global Xpress.
They were able to see for themselves how quick and easy it is to secure a high-speed voice and data connection, and took part in a live video link-up with the UK using a Cobham SATCOM 5075GX terminal and the Onsight Connect mobile video collaboration solution, developed by Inmarsat Certified Application Partner Librestream.
Value added solutions from trusted third party providers that are compatible with the Inmarsat-5 satellite network form a key part of the GX package, bringing genuine business benefits to end-users and enabling Inmarsat to power the Internet of Everywhere.
Members of the Inmarsat Enterprise business development team also demonstrated Global Xpress’ game-changing capabilities to 30 partners in the region who will be selling the service.
“Both potential customers and Inmarsat’s partners in South America have shown great interest in Global Xpress,” said Eric Griffin, Director of Energy Business Development for Inmarsat Enterprise. “By coming to the roadshow they get to see GX’s fast connection speeds and ease of use first-hand.”
The roadshow is moving on to Lima, Peru on 12-13 September.
