Quicklink Windows Bonded Live Software

Inmarsat Certified

When broadcasting live video, the primary challenge is to achieve the highest-quality video with the lowest possible latency. Often the location from which you’re broadcasting dictates the quality of available communications networks, which can then in turn have an impact on quality and latency.

If multiple communications networks are available, such as ADSL, Wifi, cellular and satellite, bonding technology can weave these disparate technologies together, with the aim of creating a stable low-latency connection for broadcast. Traditionally, bonding solutions have been hardware-based, meaning that broadcast engineers and journalists had to transport another physical piece of equipment on location, a piece of equipment that could be vulnerable to loss or damage.

The Quicklink engineering team have developed a best-in-class encoding software with H.264 and HEVC/H.265 codec technology to help deliver high-quality live video streams. The software’s high performance bonding algorithm aggregates multiple available satellite and IP-connectivity based networks. It maximizes the rates of transmission to allow you to create memorable live broadcasting moments.
