Inmarsat, the world leader in global, mobile satellite communications, has won a prestigious Business Culture Award for ‘Best Employer Brand and Values Initiative’. The awards, presented at a ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London (14 November 2019), celebrate forward-thinking companies that have created outstanding work-environments, enabling their employees to perform to their very best, facilitating exceptional business performance and customer delivery.

Rupert Pearce, CEO, Inmarsat said: “Congratulations to our award-winning team. The company is very proud of them and the work that they have done with their Inmarsat colleagues across the business to deliver a high performing culture, which enables us all to excel as we deliver for our customers. Our recent people initiatives, which are recognised by the awards and nominations, are the foundations of a process that is transforming our potential as we continue to innovate.”

Inmarsat was recognised for the following:

  • Best Employer Brand & Values Initiative For Business Culture

Natasha Dillon, Chief People Officer, Inmarsat said: “We are honoured and enormously proud to have won the Business Award for Best Employer Brand and Values Initiative for Business Culture. As a business partially built through acquisitions, we knew that we needed to strengthen the connection between all our people and Inmarsat’s brand values. We achieved this through the articulation of our employee value proposition (EVP), launch of new values and the creation of an ambitious new People Strategy and High Performance Culture programme that put employee motivation and engagement at the heart of our business.

“Similarly, we wanted to make sure our people feel connected to our values so we sought extensive employee input into what was important to them and what would help make Inmarsat a great place to work. That has paid off and we have increased employee engagement significantly.”

Inmarsat was also highly commended for:

  • Best Next Generation Initiative for Business Culture

Inmarsat was also shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Best Business Culture Transformation Initiative.
  • Business Culture Leadership – Jo Franco-Wheeler, Director of Organisational Development and Diversity.
