MSUA executive interview with Susan Miller

In an executive interview for the Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA), Inmarsat Government’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Susan Miller, reflects on the company’s biggest triumphs, the continuation of market leadership in trusted global mobility, and how Inmarsat Government is providing seamless, reliable and interoperable connectivity for mission-critical communications on land, at sea and in the air.

Miller gives insight into her daily dashboard of priority topics, highlighting her strategy for expanding Inmarsat Government’s leadership position across U.S. defence, homeland security, public safety and civilian agencies. She shares insights on Inmarsat Government’s new and innovative technologies built for government requirements that maximise satellite and ground networks by delivering critical mobile connections needed by government users – anywhere, anytime.

In continuing to provide unparalleled services to government users, Miller emphasises the criticality of space resiliency and the importance of collaboration between the satellite industry and the U.S. government.

“Government and military leaders can leverage commercial satellite communication platforms to support critical missions through our end-to-end SATCOM as a Service business model that includes satellites, the ground network as well as terminals that are type approved to work on that network,” Miller says. “With this, there would be a clear path toward ‘Terminal as a Service,’ which will result in continual technology refresh and modernisation at an affordable rate.”
