12 March 2019 - 14 March 2019
World ATM Congress is the world’s largest air traffic management event, playing a pivotal role in helping air navigation service providers (ANSPs), governments and the aviation industry advance shared goals to improve efficiency and enhance safety.
The conference programme will address the big issues in ATM – capacity, unmanned traffic management (UTM) integration, and people.
On Day One, from 10:20-10:40 in the Nokia ATM Theatre, Joseph Teixeira, Inmarsat Vice President, Aviation Safety and Cybersecurity, will be speaking on The Role of Satellites in Digital Aviation. On 13 March, from 16:15-16:35 in the Frequentis Aviation Arena, our Director of Air Traffic Services, Lisa Bee, will present on The Power of Now: Advanced Air Traffic Services Delivered Today.
We will also be exhibiting at the Congress, on Stand 863, demonstrating how we enable ATM modernisation with satellite connectivity that delivers high-speed secure data to airlines and Air Navigation Service Providers with the Iris programme. In addition, Inmarsat has been selected to showcase the Iris programme as part of the prestigious SESAR Walking Tour. The tour gives a taste of the transformation that is underway in air traffic management thanks to SESAR members and stakeholders, who are working together to modernise air traffic management across Europe. Visitors will be able to meet with Inmarsat experts and find out about the Iris programme, a partnership with the European Space Agency (ESA) led by Inmarsat to enable secure, high bandwidth datalink communications over Europe.
