24 September 2019 - 26 September 2019
Inmarsat is proud to sponsor the 2019 UK Space Conference, being held in Newport, South Wales.
This biennial flagship event brings together the entire space community, including government, industry, academia, research and financial sectors.
Delegates will get the latest updates from the space sector, learn from industry specialists, policy makers and thought leaders and take part in thought-provoking sessions and discussions.
Nick Shave, Vice Chair of UKspace and Inmarsat Global Government Vice President Strategy and Programmes, will take part in Pitch to the Primes from 14:00-14:40 on Wednesday 25 September. This is fantastic opportunity for early stage SMEs and startups to showcase their innovations to a panel of influential space industry leaders, which will also include representatives from Airbus Defence and Space, BAE Systems, and Seraphim Space Camp.
The following day, from 11:30-12:10, James Cemmell, Inmarsat Vice President, Government Engagement will be on a panel tackling the question, Saving Satcom – where will our future markets and users come from? This session will take a critical look at what the sector needs to do, including adopting New Space approaches across the supply chain, reducing the cost of user terminals to address mass markets, and ubiquitous availability of high data rates.
Inmarsat Global Government will be exhibiting throughout the event, offering visitors a virtual reality experience of our satcom services in action.
