Backhaul your consumption data

With Inmarsat IP data services you can extend your advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) into areas where cellular networks are unreliable or don’t exist.

With BGAN and BGAN M2M you can backhaul usage data from remote AMI concentrators, enabling you to monitor usage throughout your entire service territory.

BGAN M2M is an IP data service for low-volume, high-frequency transmissions. BGAN is a broadband IP service more suited to backhauling higher volumes of data. Both are Ethernet-ready, compatible with next-generation systems and integrate seamlessly with legacy equipment.

Ensure network security

The Inmarsat-4 satellite network is secure and separate to the internet and other public networks, so there are no bandwidth or range restrictions and the service will continue in the event of a natural or man-made disaster.

Data security is assured through encrypted private networks that comply with North American Electric Reliability Corporation specifications.

Easy for field teams to install and maintain

You don’t need specialist contractors to install BGAN and BGAN M2M, as the terminals that access the service are plug and play. They are easy for field teams or integrators to install and maintain without technical expertise or training.

Enjoy full visibility and value for money

Flexible pricing packages are available depending on the length of use and volume of data you send, giving you cost-effective communications along with full visibility and control of your communications budget.
