Chief Finance Office

Inmarsat’s Chief Finance Office (CFO) processes millions of transactions a month that enable us to interact efficiently with our suppliers, customers, trading partners and regulators. It makes sure that the company is properly funded and well controlled, that our taxes are paid and that shareholders and banks continue to support our plans. Our commercial teams help ensure that the business takes sound decisions through robust planning, careful pricing, thorough contracts, skilled procurement and rigorous evaluation of every major business decision.

Inmarsat’s Chief Operations Office (COO) plays a vital role in managing the services that keep our business running and delivering to our customers. COO consists of nine functions from Satellite Operations, Customer Service and Service Delivery, Network Operations and Service Assurance to Group IT, One IT, Cyber Security and the Digital office.

Chief Technology Office

Inmarsat’s Chief Technology Office (CTO) business unit sits at the core of our business and focuses on innovative technology development and engineering. The CTO maintains a centre of excellence to ensure our capabilities are constantly pushing the boundaries of satellite communications. The department is responsible for developing and delivering programmes including satellites and launchers, ground infrastructure (ground stations, networks), advanced user terminal technology development and regulatory engineering.


Inmarsat’s Enterprise is a leading global provider of satellite-enabled managed connectivity services for land-based organisations. We are enabling the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and helping transform business outcomes across a diverse set of sectors, including agriculture, aid and NGO, media, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, transport and utilities.


Inmarsat’s Government business unit delivers against the requirements for secure voice, data and video services with always-on global availability and utmost reliability. Inmarsat’s Group General Counsel comprises three areas – Global Legal Support, Global Regulatory Services and central Strategy and Business Development. These groups serve all internal business customers and support discussions and negotiations with customers and regulators on a global basis.
