Because not all missions are created equal, Inmarsat offers a series of leasing options to boost operational capability

L-TAC

L-TAC provides narrowband satellite radio frequency relay using the Inmarsat I-4 and Alphasat satellite constellation to extend the range of military and commercial UHF and VHF radio services.

The service can be leased for a fixed period (minimum two weeks) and provides a complementary service to existing UHF/VHF SATCOM channel availability. Our L-TAC lease service is fully flexible and designed to meet security and reliability requirements cost-effectively.

Once deployed, remote management and support is provided through our 24/7 Network Operations Centre. The service offers a combination of reliable voice and data connectivity that is available globally, independent of local infrastructure. It is also quick to set up, providing a fully configured solution which needs minimal user intervention before deployment.

Assured access

Assured Access is an overlay to existing leasing products and comes complete with terminals. It provides priority access and guaranteed connectivity to our global network for BGAN, FleetBroadband and SwiftBroadband services.

Through Assured Access, users receive a confirmed data rate within a defined geographic region that can be shared with more than one terminal. Our Assured Access lease arrangement also gives a predefined group of mobile users or SIMs priority access and a guaranteed connectivity to the FleetBroadband service and network resources for a known price and on an uncontended access plan.

Blue force tracking

Blue Force Tracking provides a complete picture of the battlefield for operation synchronisation. It gives GPS-enabled location and identification of friendly and enemy military forces using Inmarsat’s global satellite constellation.

L-MAXIMUM speed

L-MAXIMUM is a high throughput, gateway-enabled, multi-terminal, multi-beam service delivering reliable, secure connectivity for enterprise, government or military operations anywhere in the world.

Enabling wideband streaming over our L-band network, this lease is our response to government specific communications-on-the-move (COTM) users’ requirements for cost-effective, high-throughput connectivity and small-aperture capability. This award-winning capability utilises Inmarsat’s reliable, worldwide L-band satellite and ground network to achieve data rates as high as 10 Mbps x 10 Mbps.
