At the SATELLITE 2019 Conference in Washington, D.C. we sat down with Bob Roe, Chief Executive Officer at TrustComm, a premier small-business provider of secure satellite communication solutions to commercial and government organizations, to discuss its successful partnership with Inmarsat in the U.S. government market and other industry issues. Through the world’s most extensive portfolio of global narrowband and wideband, and via our ecosystem of best-of-breed wholesale channel partners such as TrustComm, we deliver robust, flexible and scalable alternatives for U.S. government customers to augment their satellite communications in both L-band and Ka-band, whenever needed.
During this video podcast, Mr. Roe explains that it is critical for TrustComm to not only choose the right solutions but have the right partners. Through their long-term relationship with Inmarsat they have found a trusted partner that is willing to work with them to build and customize solutions that meet their customers’ unique requirements. As part of developing these solutions, security is a top priority and the company implements policies and procedures that protect information, from identities to the actual information being sent and received. When asked about a memorable client deliverable, Mr. Roe shares a story about providing L-TAC (L-band Tactical Satellite) to a mobile radio user customer. He points out that when L-TAC was introduced a couple of years ago, converting UHF and VHF signals to L-band was a new concept; and more importantly, L-TAC enabled satellite-based, beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) comms-on-the-move. “It was extremely satisfying to watch our customer experience this for the very first time, as it not only met but exceeded their expectations.” Rounding out the discussion, Mr. Roe notes that when customers see that they are partnered with Inmarsat there is a high level of trust and credibility given that they will receive creative and innovative solutions to address their needs.
