Inmarsat appoints ESL as Global Government Distribution Partner

Inmarsat (LSE:ISAT.L), the leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services, has announced the appointment of the ESL group, one of Europe’s leading integrators of mobile radio and satellite communication equipment for land and maritime use, as a Global Government Distribution Partner. In this capacity, ESL will focus on the Government and Defence markets in Europe, offering a range of L-band services including FleetBroadband, BGAN and GSPS.

ESL, which has been offering Inmarsat connectivity services for some 20 years, is also an Inmarsat Platinum Service Provider Partner and a certified partner for Cobham SATCOM. The two companies have already begun the technical and commercial integration process and it is anticipated that ESL will become a fully operational Inmarsat Distribution Partner in Q1 2014.
