Long Way Down
Hollywood film star Ewan McGregor was armed with BGAN for his latest epic motorbike journey - travelling 24,000 km (15,000 miles) from John O'Groats in Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa.
The star of numerous films, including the Star Wars prequels, Miss Potter and Trainspotting, travelled with fellow actor and friend Charley Boorman - both riding BMW motorbikes.
The actors and film crew tracking their journey took three Thrane & Thrane Explorer 500 BGAN terminals provided by Inmarsat partner AST for keeping in touch and sending video footage.
Their adventures are recounted in a BBC TV series, Long Way Down, currently being broadcast in the UK.
